The Twingine site contains a blank search form into which you can type any search query. When you click Search, the site brings up the results pages for that query from both Yahoo! and Google, side by side. Clicking Next or Previous in the top frame at Twingine takes you to the next or previous page in the search results at both sites.
When you want to open a link, you would do well to open the link in a new tab. Otherwise, the new page will open within the frame in which you clicked the link.
If you like to use Bing instead of Yahoo, click the Bing! link in the top frame.

Google Chrome Font Preferences And Minimum Font Size
You can change the default font and language for webpages in Preferences > Under the Hood > Web Content.
Google Chrome lacks an option to specify a minimum font-size and to force certain fonts for all webpages.....
To force a certain font on all websites close Chrome first and go to ~/.config/google-chrome/Default/User StyleSheets ( for Chromium that is ~/.config/chromium/Default/User StyleSheets ) and open Custom.css. Write to it ( this is my choice ) :
*{font-family:Candara!important}
To specify a minimum font-size go to ~/.config/google-chrome/Default and open Preferences. Search for webkit and add these two lines :
"minimum_font_size": 14,
"minimum_logical_font_size": 14,
My Preferences after this looks like :
"webkit": {
"webprefs": {
"default_fixed_font_size": 18,
"default_font_size": 18,
"fixed_font_family": "Candara",
"minimum_font_size": 14,
"minimum_logical_font_size": 14,
"sansserif_font_family": "Candara",
"serif_font_family": "Candara"
}
Alternatives are these two extensions :
AutoZoom : https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/ocdkpkoaonnchdakgkmmcmnihhhgbjch

Picasa Photo Viewer
Picasa is a great application for managing and editing photos. Unfortunately I does not include the beautiful PicasaPhotoViewer....
There are two ways to get a solution though.
1) Go to http://picasa.google.com/index.html## and download Picasa 3.8 for Windows. Install with wine.
After you completed the installation, rightclick on a picture file and select Open With Other Application. Choose the box Use a custom command and fill in '/home/username/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Google/Picasa3/Picasa3.exe' including the quotes !
Check Remember this application for "....." files.
2) Download the .deb @ http://www.caiacoa.de/Transfer/PicasaPhotoViewer-1.0.3.deb and install PicasaPhotoViewer-1.0.3.deb.
Become root and dpkg -i PicasaPhotoViewer-1.0.3.deb.
To use Photo Viewer inside Gnome follow the same procedure as above, but this time use /usr/bin/PicasaPhotoViewer as a custom command.
Replace splashPPV.png in /opt/google/picasa/3.0/wine/drive_c/Program Files/Google/Picasa3/runtime/ with /opt/google/picasa/3.0/wine/drive_c/Program Files/Google/Picasa3/runtime/splashbk.jpg :
As root :
cd /opt/google/picasa/3.0/wine/drive_c/Program Files/Google/Picasa3/runtime
mv splashPPV.png splashPPV.png~
cp splashbk.jpg splashPPV.png

Random.Org
Random numbers are useful for a variety of purposes, such as generating data encryption keys, simulating and modeling complex phenomena and for selecting random samples from larger data sets.
With the advent of computers, programmers recognized the need for a means of introducing randomness into a computer program.
Perhaps you have wondered how predictable machines like computers can generate randomness. In reality, most random numbers used in computer programs are pseudo-random, which means they are generated in a predictable fashion using a mathematical formula.
Random.org offers true random numbers to anyone on the Internet. The randomness comes from atmospheric noise, which for many purposes is better than the pseudo-random number algorithms typically used in computer programs.

Encrypted Google Web Search
With Google search over SSL, you can have an end-to-end encrypted search solution between your computer and Google. This secured channel helps protect your search terms and your search results pages from being intercepted by a third party. This provides you with a more secure and private search experience.
To use search over SSL, visit https://encrypted.google.com/ each time you perform a search. Note that only Google web search is available over SSL, so other search products like Google Images and Google Maps are not currently available over SSL. When you're searching over SSL, these properties may not appear in the left panel.

Florence Virtual Keyboard
Florence is an extensible scalable virtual keyboard for Gnome, although it can be used on any desktop environment.
Download link : http://code.google.com/p/ardesia/
I downloaded florence-ramble_0.2-debian-1_amd64.deb and installed it using dpkg -i as root.
Could not start it and it complained about a missing libcspi.so.0.
I went to http://www.debian.org/distrib/packages and did a search at Search the contents of packages with keyword libcspi.so.0 , distribution testing.
Seemed that package libatspi1.0-0 was missing. After installing package libatspi1.0-0 Florence could be started.

Test Your Password
Passwordmeter : http://www.passwordmeter.com/
Please note, that this application does not utilize the typical "days-to-crack" approach for strength determination. We have found that particular system to be severely lacking and unreliable for real-world scenarios. This application is neither perfect nor foolproof, and should only be utilized as a loose guide in determining methods for improving the password creation process.
Yet Another Password Meter : http://www.yetanotherpasswordmeter.com/
This web site does not transfer data to any server. The application runs strictly in your web browser. The metrics about your passwords is based on observation and best practices. They are just recommendations and do not guarantee that your password is really safe. We try to support you in finding a password that is suitable but we do not guarantee that it is perfect.
How Secure Is My Password : http://howsecureismypassword.net/
Is this accurate ?It all depends on who's trying to hack your computer and how they're trying to do it. There are many different ways to try and crack a password and this site only does the calculation for one particular sort of hacking attempt: The Brute Force Attack.

Chromium Browser And Iron Running Side By Side
After running and quitting Iron I got this error when running Chromium-browser from Debian ( http://packages.debian.org/squeeze/chromium-browser ) :
Just go to ~/.config/chromium/Default folder and delete file Web Data. The error message is gone!
Next step will be to create a different profile for Iron :
mkdir ~/.config/chromium/Iron Iron will be the different profile folder for Iron.
Make a shortcut for Iron containing the command :
/home/username/iron-linux-64/iron --enable-webgl --user-data-dir=".config/chromium/Iron"
Now you can run Chromium-browser and Iron side by side ( simultaneously ) with a different profile.

SRWare Iron: The Browser of the future
SRWare Iron, or simply Iron, is a free and open-source web browser implementation of Chromium which primarily aims to eliminate usage tracking and other privacy-compromising functionality that the Google Chrome browser includes. While Iron does not provide extra privacy compared to Chromium, it does disable some configurable Chromium features that could share information with third parties.

PasswordCard
A PasswordCard is a credit card-sized card you keep in your wallet, which lets you pick very secure passwords for all your websites, without having to remember them! You just keep them with you, and even if your wallet does get stolen, the thief will still not know your actual passwords.
